About UNFOLDING

Unfolding was the Twenty2 Wallpaper + Textiles group exhibition that ran from December 8th 2023 to December 15th 2023. It was at the Five Points Annex Gallery in Torrington, Connecticut.  

It included the artistic talents and work of the creative employees that worked there at the time. Each artist could utilize the digital print technology offered at Twenty2 to enhance or create their work.

Pop Up Shop

As the exhibition was close to the holiday season, a pop-up shop was also featured. A highlight of the shop was the self designed and printed wrapping paper for sale.

For my inclusion in the pop-up shop, I used the digitally printed isolated cat images and created them into novelty pillows. They utilized the same technique as my piece. Because they related to my work so well, they were sold alongside the work.

Each cat was printed twice and reversed so they could then be stitched together and stuffed. There was also free-stitched quilting on each side, to create depth and unique stitch work.
